The Science Film Festival total attendance of over 1400 students from classes I to X
The Science Film Festival held in Maple Leaf has been an immense success, garnering a total attendance of over 1400 students from classes I to X.
During the festival, over the course of 10 days, we showed compelling science films, ranging in topics from artificial intelligence & space exploration to microplastics & bionics. After the films, we had interactive discussions and quiz sessions where the respondents were awarded small gifts. The Science Club even demonstrated a live chemical titration, while we, the Robotics Club, entertained the students with an obstacle avoiding robot and meanwhile the Green Club showed a cool experiment on heat and climate change. All through the event, enthusiasm among the attendees remained high, with each person having learnt something new. We hope that these films would go on to inspire the students to explore more and further pursue their interests in STEM.
Finally, thanks to everyone who volunteered! Co-hosting this event alongside the MLIS Science Club and the MLIS Green Club has been nothing less than an amazing experience. Also, kudos to the MLIS Nutrition Club for showing up on the final day with an animation on healthy food habits! Hope to pull off more such collaborations in the future!
